Iroh's Happiness

This is all ~LengTu's fault. She started a Toko Week, so now I'm tempted and I've been meaning to put up these for a while. I may go back and do ones based on her actual list (I actually do have something that could so work for "Nobility" though the rest will have to all be new work).

Also, since she fell behind on Toko week, I don't feel so bad about being delayed either. ^_^ I'll just put them up when I can.

Okay--So I did a series of images that surround a fan fiction on Toko. The basic idea (since at the time people were all like--they're too far apart in age! ew~) was that their relationship began as friends when the events of A:tLA happened, but as the years progressed it grew. I don't imagine them getting together very quickly. So I did a series of images of "over the years" showing the growth of their relationship. I kind of borrowed the idea from a friend on the avatar forum, who was writing a fan fiction surrounding the idea that Zuko traveled for a long time, patching up relations with the help of Aang and company before finally settling as Firelord--and that Iroh was pretty much running the kingdom in his absence. The thought made so much sense to me, and then it dawned. You know, it's probably during this time that Toph and Zuko get even closer. Which brought me joy. So based on all that, I began writing this fan fiction, and I drew the images to accompany it.

I was debating putting up small chunks of the story in the comments, but... hmmmm... it's iffy. I may just use the images again as chapter 'images'. Not sure. Still debating.

Basically, it's about here that their relationship becomes "romantic." I don't really think of their relationship that way though. Neither of them are particularly the type to be romantic. I guess the correct term would be this is when things "get serious." Zuko needs a bride (he's been putting it off for way too long). They enjoy each other's company. They laugh, they fight, they bend, and I think within a week of her being there, they're probably in the sack. It's not a "oh, we're so in love" kind of thing. This is much more like, "Oh, well, damn. We love each other, don't we?"

It's kind of hard to explain. It's not overtly romantic. It just is. He loves her. She loves him. And they take it in stride and just enjoy it for what it is.

Oh, and what it says on the bottom in case people have trouble reading it: "Toph comes to visit, and she and Zuko seem to be getting along particularly well. Much to Iroh's happiness."
